Wenlin 2.7 Update For Windows

The Wenlin 2.7 update for MS-Windows (95/98/2000/NT/Me/XP) is in a self-extracting archive file named WL27SEA.EXE (535,314 bytes).

If you have not already installed Wenlin 2.0 or later on your computer's hard drive, do so before installing the update, so that there will be a Wenlin2 folder on your hard drive to contain the changed files. (To install Wenlin on your hard drive, run it from the CD-ROM and choose Install from the File menu.)

Assuming Wenlin 2.0 or later is already installed on your hard drive, quit Wenlin if it is running. Then click on the link below to download WL27SEA.EXE. Your browser may automatically save the file in some location such as the Desktop, or it may let you choose the the location in which to save it. You can save it on the Desktop, or in the Wenlin2 folder, or any other convenient location. Once you have downloaded it, run it by double-clicking on the WL27SEA.EXE icon.

IMPORTANT: the installation program will prompt you for the folder where the earlier version of Wenlin is already installed. The default is C:\WENLIN2; if Wenlin is installed in a different folder, you must specify that folder. The update will only work if it is installed in the same folder as the earlier version.

I am already a licensed user of Wenlin 2.0 or later: download WL27SEA.EXE for the Wenlin 2.7 update for MS-Windows.

Please send us an e-mail to let us know you've updated.

The 2.7 installer was built using a great tool called Inno Setup from www.jrsoftware.org.
